ISUZU Motors South Africa has agreed to be a hosting partner for the National Association of Automotive Business Council of South Africa (SA) Auto Week in 2022. SA Auto Week, which takes place from October 24 to 30, is the country’s largest and only premium business-to-business event, hosted by all 48 South African automobile brands.
Naamsa will hold several events, including a three-day Thought Leadership Indaba on major industry topics for South Africa and Africa, with the theme “REIMAGINING THE FUTURE TOGETHER – The Rise of the African Auto Industry: Investing in New Energy Vehicles, Infrastructure, and People.” The Thought Leadership Indaba’s strategic goal is to promote meaningful dialogue through keynote presentations, a series of panel discussions, and breakaway sessions on a variety of themes critical to the automotive industry’s recovery, growth, and progress. Executives from ISUZU Motors will take part in several of the conversations.
“We look forward to connecting with important industry experts who will help shape the future of the automotive sector.” “As a brand that has been in South Africans’ lives for over 40 years, we are invested in the growth and development of the industry, which includes every stakeholder in the ecosystem,”
says Billy Tom, President, and CEO of ISUZU Motors South Africa.
ISUZU will also be displaying its BOLD product line, which includes the All-New ISUZU mu-X and D-MAX, as well as the ISUZU NPR 400 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Truck and the NPS 300 Crew Cab SWA 4X4. In addition, the never-before-seen D-MAX ARCTIC AT35 test car will be on display on the ISUZU exhibition stand. This vehicle is still being considered for the South African market.
ISUZU is currently assessing the viability of alternative propulsion systems for the African market. “This is part of ISUZU’s drive to provide unique solutions to customers and create value for large fleet owners who seek low operating costs and dependability while minimizing environmental effects,” says Celestin Ndhlovu, Vice President of Strategy, Business Planning, and Marketing.
The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) will bring the world’s industry giants to South Africa for futuristic and ground-breaking conversations and prospective business prospects for the first time in the industry’s history in Africa. During the event, the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) General Assembly and Council Meeting will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix and International Conference Centre.
