We started XploreZA because we saw a gap. South African families were getting overwhelmed by complicated advice from experts who didn’t seem to understand their world.

Car salespeople spoke in jargon. Travel sites recommended experiences that didn’t fit real budgets. Lifestyle advice felt out of touch with everyday South African life.

So we decided to do something different. We brought together real experts who live in South Africa, understand South African families, and believe that expert advice should be accessible, honest, and genuinely helpful

Hi, Im Mabuyane Mabuza

Founder and publisher of XploreZA and XploreAgri. She began her journalism career in 2000, working for publications including The Citizen, Sowetan, and The Times, covering both hard news and motoring. She later expanded into radio, hosting motoring segments on stations such as Metro FM, Motsweding FM, Lesedi FM, and Kaya959. Mabuyane currently serves as Chairperson of the South African Guild of Mobility Journalists and previously chaired the South African Car of the Year competition for three years. Beyond media, she is also a seasoned maize and cattle farmer.

Managing Editor, a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism, brand strategy, and storytelling. She leads the editorial vision with insight and precision, shaping compelling narratives across motoring, travel, lifestyle, and agriculture that reflect XploreZA’s premium voice and authentic South African perspective.
