My car has started making a squeaking sound whenever I go over speed bumps. It drives perfectly otherwise and there are no warning lights. Am I being paranoid, or is this the sort of small noise I shouldn't ignore?

One thing years of driving different cars has taught me is that you eventually get to know your own car's normal sounds. A new sound deserves attention, even when the car still feels fine.
A squeak over bumps could come from several areas around the suspension, including worn bushes or other components, but don't diagnose it from the driver's seat.
Pay attention to when it happens. Only over bumps? When turning too? Is it becoming louder? That information will help your workshop investigate.
You don't necessarily need to panic or stop driving immediately, but don't spend six months turning up the radio either.
Small noises are sometimes your car's earliest way of telling you something needs attention. Getting them checked early can prevent a relatively minor problem from becoming a more expensive one.
