Hello Mabs
My new car has a fancy infotainment system. It looks cool, but I’m worried it’s distracting. Are these systems really safe?

Mabs Answers:
You’re right to be cautious; they can be distracting if you’re not careful. The
technology is meant to make life easier, but the safest way to use it is to set everything before you start driving. Pair your phone, set your route, pick your playlist and then keep your eyes on the road.
Many cars have voice commands; use them rather than touching the screen while driving. And if you ever find yourself fiddling too much with the system, that’s your cue to pull over safely and refocus.
