I am trying to cut back on costs and save some money. I have looked at costs associated with owning a car. How do I know if I am paying too much for car insurance?

Insurance can feel like a maze. The only way to know is to compare. Get at least three quotes every year, even if you are happy with your current provider. Also check your excess and what is actually covered. Cheap is not always better. You want proper cover and good claims service. Peace of mind is worth more than a small monthly saving.
