Beyond the blooms, visitors can enjoy boutique guesthouses, local wine farms, craft beer and restaurants showcasing West Coast cuisine. Although flowers begin appearing from late July in some northern regions, the best viewing window for the Cape West Coast generally runs from August through early September.
Flowers tend to stay closed during cold or overcast weather, so it's worth checking the forecast before you set off.
