Comprehensive is more expensive but covers theft, accidents, and damage to your own vehicle, which always comes in handy.
Shop around and read online reviews before you decide on the company that insures you. Once you have the forms, always read the fine print. Check the excess amount, which is the money you pay before the insurer covers the rest. A low monthly premium may come with a high excess.
Look at how the insurer handles claims. Are they quick to pay out? Do they offer 24-
hour roadside assistance? Can you choose your own panel beater? Consider benefits like car hire after an accident or cover for a handbag or child seats lost in a smash-and-grab. Also, some insurers offer lower premiums to women or safe drivers.
Finally, compare quotes and do not be shy to ask questions. You deserve peace of mind, not just a policy.
