Cape Town has become synonymous with new cars as it seems to be the destination of manufacturers when launching their brands, and that is because of the convenience the City gives through its road networks. The Mother City is able to give urban and adventurous road experience, no wonder it became the Lexus’ choice to launch its New Lexus UX themed The Urban Edge as the car is convenient for urban drive. Lexus UX is compact yet bold; it is able to manoeuvre through urban traffic with ease. Both versions, Hybrid and Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission gave great performance and comfort. The interior of the car does not disappoint with touch screen display and touchpad within the driver’s reach.

The front-wheel drive UX 200 is driven by the 2.0-litre 126kW/205Nm four-cylinder engine with a Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission. Lexus UX has entry-level EX grade as well as range-topping F Sport. Just like in other Lexus models the UX also offers a hybrid version in the form of UX 250h SE.
The Lexus UX is set to compete with the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and the Volvo XC40.
The highly specced UX comes with features such LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, electric/heated side mirrors, heated front seats, dual zone climate control air conditioning, wireless smartphone charger, cruise control, 10.3-inch infotainment system with integrated navigation and Bluetooth functionality, an 8-speaker sound system and front and rear park distance control with a reverse camera and many more.
The first Lexus car to be designed by a woman, the UX possesses classy touches from the female hand of chief designer Chika Kako.
