My fuel consumption seems higher than what the brochure promised. I seem to be always going to the fuel station, my car is always thirsty. Is something wrong with my car or my driving style?

Not necessarily. Brochure figures are tested under controlled conditions. Real life is very different and there are many variables. Short trips, heavy traffic, air conditioning and a slightly heavy right foot all make a difference.
Before you panic, check tyre pressures and driving habits. Sometimes it is not the car, it is us. Be honest with yourself about how you drive and you may find the answer.
