A plug-in hybrid is a smart middle ground if you want to save on petrol but still have the comfort of a fuel tank for longer trips. It runs on both battery power and petrol. You can charge it at home, and when the battery runs low, the car smoothly switches to petrol.
For everyday city driving, you can mostly use electric power and spend less on fuel.
South Africa still has limited public charging stations, so it’s best to charge at home or at work. A plug-in hybrid gives you flexibility and peace of mind; no need to panic if you can’t find a charger on a road trip!
