With South Africans continuously feeling the financial crunch, most rule out leisure travel and consider it a luxury. However, it is more accessible than many believe. I will demonstrate that It takes careful planning and be on the road to discover the travel treasures South Africa has to offer. He shares his recent travels that took him across the spectacular province of Limpopo.
With the Easter holidays swiftly approaching, all of us are eagerly expectant to take a few days off to rest from what has been such a fast-paced and eventful first quarter of 2024.
It is unfortunate that so many of us have deemed travel an inaccessible luxury. I’m here to prove you wrong! With the right budget and well-planned itinerary, there is no destination too far to reach.
Quite often we forget the memories that come with simply gathering together in one vehicle, deciding what our budget looks like, and joining the open road to create memories that will live with us for many years to come.
Traveling and xploring the vast and diverse beauty of South Africa is an experience like no other. With stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and incredible wildlife, a trip through this beautiful country promises unforgettable memories and experiences.
We decided to embark on a fun-filled, 7-day road trip between Limpopo and Mpumalanga, two provinces known for their breathtaking scenery and unique attractions. We spent four days discovering some breathtaking gems in Limpopo.
As with any successful road trip, a comfortable and fuelled car will set you in motion to enjoy your many kilometres to your incredible destinations, and which better place to fill up than the proudly South African filling station, Sasol? One of the first stops on your itinerary should be Makgoebaskloof, a picturesque region known for its scenic beauty and outdoor activities. Next, make your way to Tzaneen, a bustling town known for its fertile farmlands and vibrant markets. Be sure to sample some of the local produce, including delicious tropical fruits and freshly brewed coffee.
As you continue your journey, you will pass through Hoedspruit, a gateway to some of South Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. For those of us with bigger budgets and a liking for the finer things in life, the Radisson Safari Hotel is a new edition in the area that all of us need to try. Take a game drive through the Pridelands game reserve to see the splendour of our amazing Big Five and if you’re keen, a dinner under the stars will leave you breathless and asking for more.
