Every year, South Africans are gifted the opportunity to reconnect with nature without opening their wallets. SA National Parks Week is back this September 2025, inviting citizens to xplore the country’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife with free day access to most of the 21 National parks.

This initiative by South African National Parks (SANParks) is all about celebrating our natural heritage, encouraging locals to embrace the outdoors, and fostering a sense of pride and ownership in our protected spaces.
Important to note: Free access applies only to day visitors. It does not extend to accommodation, paid tours, or special activities.
