The Jaguar F-TYPE is the pinnacle of a 75-year legacy that comprises some of the most well-known automobiles ever made. The F-TYPE Coupé or Convertible offers the ultimate combination of visceral performance and driver satisfaction, with a bold, dynamic design and an interior distinguished by rich materials, superb craftsmanship, and exquisite details.
Every F-TYPE in the range now comes with a model-specific 20-inch wheel as standard, with the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 distinguishable by their gloss black, five-spoke- and gloss black diamond-turned 10-spoke designs, respectively.
The 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engines powering the F-TYPE are coupled to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission with full manual control via the SportShift gear selector or steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The previous model’s 331kW supercharged engine produced a maximum torque of 580Nm at 2,500rpm, whilst the new F-TYPE R 75 delivers 423kW and an astounding 700Nm of torque: the benchmark sprint to 100km/h takes just 3.7 seconds, with an electronically restricted top speed of 300km/h. In South Africa, the F-TYPE 75 is only available with all-wheel drive with an electronic active rear differential to improve traction and enable a 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 285km/h.
F-TYPE Front and rear double wishbone suspension, as well as carefully tuned electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) and Torque Vectoring by Braking, all contribute to remarkable agility and a connected feel. The chassis of the F-TYPE 75 and R 75 is further strengthened by rear knuckles made of light, durable aluminium dies castings, which, when combined with larger wheel bearings, provide absolute flawless control of the tyre contact patch, translating to an even more connected steering sensation. The R 75 enhances this critical trait even further with revised upper ball joints that significantly increase camber and toe rigidity. To improve traction, both versions incorporate a rear electronic active differential (EAD)
The first customer deliveries begin in January 2023, marking the 75th anniversary of Jaguar sports cars and a watershed event in the brand’s history as it proudly transitions to an all-electric future beginning in 2025.
