What was your most recent trip and how long were you away for?
We went on a week-long family holiday to Cape Town in January. I travelled with my husband, son, daughter, and granddaughter. It was strictly for pleasure.

What was your favorite part about your holiday?
This was my 2-year-old granddaughter’s first visit to the sea and her enjoy playing with her at the beach and laughing hard was priceless.

What touristy things did you get up to and what was the overall experience?
We did paragliding, rode on quad bikes, took a boat cruise, and went up Table Mountain. We visited Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, Muizenberg Beach, and Boulders Beach to watch penguins and swam in Camps Bay.

What was the best thing you ate on your trip and what did you splurge on?
We did not xplore food much during the trip. We kept it safe and ate from the normal South African franchise restaurants.
Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
I wished we had booked the activities and car in advance while they were on special at Booking.com and Daddy’s Daily Deals.

Would you advise someone to go and if so, what should they do differently to you?
Book your stay for a minimum of 4 days or more. Book all your activities in advance and choose the first days to allow for the postponement of activities due to weather.

What websites or services did you find the most helpful for planning/booking your trip?
We booked our accommodation through Booking.com, the boat cruise at Waterfront Charters at V&A Waterfront, our rental car at Avis, through Booking.com, quad bikes at Atlantis Dunes, WILDX ADVENTURES through GetYourGuide, paragliding Sunset Hill at Cape Town Tandem Paragliding, [email protected]

Book to go around January. The weather is nice and warm which will enable you to xplore Cape Town and surrounding areas.
